Vegapp

Vegapp is an expert tool for collecting vegetation data in sampling sites. The entry of plant species is facilitated by checklists that can be loaded from a web repository or hand-crafted by users. Ad-hoc species entries are possible as well. The spatial position of a plot can be retrieved from the Android device and visualized on a map. Settings profiles allow the user to pick relevant data entry fields, set default values to avoid repetitive inputs and to define vegetation layers. Supported export formats include generic text for R or spreadsheets etc. and Turboveg-xml. Species lists have been prepared for the following areas so far: Continental level: Europe and the Mediterranean, North AmericaIndividual countries: Austria, Belgium, Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hawaii, Italy, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland.The app is available in English and German.
